When Your Soul Craves for "More"

My soul craves for “more.” The human soul cannot be pandered with things, food, alcohol, drugs or love affairs. The soul can only be satisfied with the things of God.

The soul will search for that place of service. “Can I help you? I want to help you.”

Satisfaction of the soul comes from the humbling of oneself to say, “I’m sorry,” the tenderness of sharing when neither has enough or the stepping back so someone else can step up.

Satisfaction comes from empathy – the bonding of spirits that know the same pain – feels the same remorse – understands dark places and sinking fears.

Satisfaction comes from the grabbing and pulling of each other out of the pit. The shouts of “You can do it!” and the whispers of “Don’t give up.”

These are the things that nourish the soul. And, when the soul is fed, the rest of the body bends to say, “I can help you. You are important. We are one.”

It is then that you realize that you are so much more – than things, food, alcohol, drugs or love affairs.

It is then you realize He has given you more.
