You know, I could sit here all day and be so ashamed and regret all the things of my past. Instead I intend to use my mistakes to help someone else avoid that path.
I know what it’s like to feel unloved. I also know all the wrong places you can search for love – those places that leave you ashamed and in regret.
And guess what? God still loves me and He still loves you! He knows our brokenness. He knows our weaknesses. He knows all our dark places and He still loves us anyway! He will use our pain and our past to help someone else with their pain and past!
So, if I have anything to do with it – this day and everyday – I intend to encourage you to know you are enough for just who you have been created to be. Come out of those dark places and step into the light of Christ. You don’t need a wrong relationship. You don’t need red wine because Christ is the only buzz you will ever need. You can release those compulsive thoughts that bind you in a prison. You don’t have to settle for anyone who does not honor you and respect who you are.
Drop the past and get on with your life!
There is a great purpose waiting on YOU to discover! Know you are purposeful – know you are not alone and know that without a doubt you are surrounded by a love that is far greater than you can imagine.
If God can use someone like me – there is no telling what He can do! If He can use a dark place to bring someone light – just imagine what He will do through you.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18.
