How many marbles do you have left?

I was having a discussion about achieving “life-balance” with a good friend of mine. He is not only my friend, but a spiritual mentor. He told me a story that he uses sometimes when he is conducting sessions, workshops and conferences. He uses marbles to make a valid point!

Here is how is goes (and I’ll use myself as an example.)

Get a clear vase and you’ll need some marbles. How many? Well, I am 58 years old and I hope to live to be 85. That means I have approximately 27 years left. I’ll fill that vase with 27 marbles. Every year, I’ll throw one away.

That conversation made a difference to me.

I only have 27 years (marbles) left to do all the work and to make all the difference to others that I possibly can. In May, I’ll be down to 26 marbles.

There is no time to waste! I am so grateful that I finally found my personal mission (it took over 50 years). Don’t wait that long.  There is just too much peace and joy out there waiting for you.

Let your journey begin. It’s waiting on you.
