Pat started her career as a nurse, receiving her Masters in Science of Nursing from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. A past president of the Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina, she is also a recipient of the North Carolina Nursing Excellence Award.
While living in New Mexico, she became a Life Coach and received a Certificate of Coaching from Coach U. She is a graduate of The Academy of Spiritual Formation and received a Certificate in Christian Education from Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. Pat is also a Certified Lay Minister for the Global Methodist Church.
She currently writes a weekly article for The Southwest Times and hosts a podcast titled Let the Journey Begin.
Pat is a chaplain for The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team, which deploys to devastated areas around the country when needed.
While well known for her ministry work, Pat also owns and operates Faith House, a home on the banks of Little River in the town of Snowville, Virginia. She has cultivated Faith House as a warm, welcoming environment for retreats, support groups, meditation, sabbaticals, prayer vigils, and Bible studies with a focus on purposeful living and healing.
Pat is the author of Faith House: A Journey to Faith, available on Amazon.com, which is her story of discovery and recovery after God intervened during a dark and desolate place in her life. Pat shares how our destiny is the purpose God created us for.
Pat travels the country extensively to spread encouragement and give hope to those in healthcare, ministry and education. Her topics include, but are not limited to, leadership, living a purposeful life, self-care and resilience, especially during challenging times.
